The Celebrating Student Voice conference honored the “whole child” and celebrated ways in which kids can grow and develop across the following 4 domains: cognitive/intellectual, social/emotional, physical, and spiritual/moral.

The purpose of the conference was to:
  • Empower kids by becoming aware of the importance of developing each of the 4 domains (cognitive/intellectual, social/emotional, physical, and spiritual/moral) within themselves and to be able to take away some strategies and ideas that they can apply to their own lives.
  • Encourage kids to strengthen their sense of self and become balanced in different areas in their lives so that they are more likely to be able to see through or brush off any negative messages they encounter through the media or elsewhere.
  • Connect kids from different grades and schools to come together and have a place for their voice to be heard.
